Inspiring Women Barbie Series!

 Who didn’t own or at least play with a Barbie or Ken doll at some point in your childhood? Barbie has long since been a staple toy in many homes. As time and demographics progressed so did Barbie. Barbie has gradually expanded to include a wide demographic of dolls representing various races, countries and cultures. This current series the “Inspiring Women Series” features Barbies that honor women who were trailblazers in their careers or their time. Since Black History Month is approaching, I managed to snag 3 of the African-American dolls featured in the collection. See which ones I picked up on a random Target shopping trip in my video below.

New Year, New Finances: Creating a Budget Binder!

 If the pandemic taught most of us anything, it was the importance of being prepared for the unexpected! While I was fortunate that my job and income continued throughout the pandemic, my expenses increased.  Working from home saved on things such as gas from commuting but also increased my expenses in other areas such as food and of course craft supplies. For those who are new here, I’m a Cricut crafter. If we’re gonna be stuck in the house, gotta have some kind of entertainment right? I say all this to say, having additional finances available is always a great thing. In order to help me in my efforts to squirrel away for a rainy day, and also track my spending, I’ve decided to create a budget binder. These have been trending for a while so I decided to jump on the train and ordered a cute binder with appropriate accessories to get my started on my budget binder journey.  Check out the video below to see my binder and how I plan to utilize it.

New year, new post! Izzy & Liv Haul!

 

Happy New Year everyone! Hopefully your 2021 has been off to a great start! I’m just getting back into the swing of things after taking a much needed break! One of my goals is to continue to focus on supporting and promoting minority owned businesses as much as possible. With that said, I’m kicking off my first post of the new year with another black-owed small business called Izzy & Liv! This was my first time ordering from them and due to the craziness with the postal service it took almost a month to get my package!
