New makeup!! - Make It Black Colourpop Collaboration

Hello everyone! Hope you enjoyed your Valentine’s Day, whether you were booed up or just giving yourself a little love! In the spirit of Black History Month and the goal to keep promoting brands by and/or for people of color, I decided to try out the new Make It Black Collection from Colourpop. This is a collaboration between Colourpop and the Pull Up for Change Small Business Fund. This foundation was created by UOMA beauty (another Black & woman owned brand) founder in response to the brutal murder of George Floyd. This foundation supports Black founders and is working towards helping people understand what it means to be “black” in today’s society. The makeup is affordable, beautiful colors and supports a good cause. 100% of the net proceeds from the purchase of these products goes toward the Pull Up for Change Small Business Fund. Beauty Bakerie Bite Size Beauty! Target Exclusive!

One of my favorite Black-owned makeup brands has just launched a new makeup line that is exclusive to Target! The Beauty Bakerie line wanted to create a line that was more accessible and affordable to more people. Based on what I’ve tried so far, this brand does not lose the quality or cuteness that comes along with the original brand. Fenty Beauty + Fenty Skin haul

 

I think it’s safe to say, my favorite makeup brand is currently Fenty beauty. They just offer such a variety of items and the quality is great! The fall line of items has recently released at Sephora and on Fentybeauty.com. I snagged a few pieces from that collection along with with some of the new Fenty Skin products. If you haven’t heard, Rihanna created a skincare line called Fenty Skin that can be used to cleanse and moisturize your face. The products in the Fenty Skin line include a total cleanser which can be used to cleanse as well as remove makeup, a toner, and a moisturizer with SPF 30 sunscreen. The key thing to note is that the Fenty Skin line is eco-friendly including the moisturizer which does not contain ingredients that can be harmful to the coral reef.
