Hello My name is Marquita and I'm a high school special education teacher. I teach 11th and 12th grade English as well as organizational skills. Although I currently live in the northern Virginia area, I'm Tarheel born and bred! I hope to move back south (hopefully somewhere near a beach) in the next few years, but for now I'll just have to bring my southern, country charm to the north! I'm also a huge Carolina Panthers fan so don't be surprised if a few Panther posts appear during football season! 😊
Blogging has been something that I've always had an interest in, but never seemed to have the time to get it started. I work full time as a teacher, part-time providing homebound educational services to students who are out of school for medical or long-term discipline purposes, and part-time as a sales associate for Gap Kids store. I'm also a full-time online student working on a second Master's degree in Distance Education and E-learning. Taking on all of these endeavours often lead to late nights and early mornings (hence the blog name) but in spite of all that, I've made it a priority to still make time to relax and partake in my hobbies. I look forward to sharing my journey of teaching, learning and leisure with you!
